WW2 Inspired Dutch Shoot
22 May 2015

First of all, I was absolutely stoked to see that this shoot got featured on an actual Dutch wedding blog 'The Perfect Wedding'. It makes me very proud to be Dutch and to inspire all those Dutch brides and brides-to-be! Have a look below:

So wow, what can I say about this day? It was very special and moving to document not only an amazing styled shoot with an incredible team, but also the letters and pictures from my family's World War Two memorabilia. I got a bit emotional and very proud to be able to show people something real from the War and to remember Liberation Day (Bevrijdingsdag) exactly 70 years ago in 1945. So many sacrifices were made during those years and because of that we live in a free world.

We used our own family flag, homemade apple pie (courtesy of mama), Dutch liquorice, Edam cheese, stroopwafels and our beautiful model even got to wear clogs! It was a great day to represent the Netherlands.

Thank you to all the ladies below who helped make this happen x
